"I'm just a curious person trying to learn by doing things and working with what I love."
Spanish artist and design Jaime Hayón is one of the world's most exuberant and acclaimed creators.
He was born in Madrid in 1974. As a teenager, he submerged himself in skateboard culture and graffiti art, which became the foundation for the detailed, bold yet whimsical imagery so imminent in his work today.
Jaime studied industrial design in Madrid and Paris before joining Fabrica - the Benneton-funded design and communication academy for whom he directed the design department from 1997 to 2003.
In 200, Jaime set up his own studio practice in order to pursue personal projects and develop his singular design vision.
Over the past decade and a half, Jaime's creative output has been both prolific and diverse. He's designed furniture for Fritz Hansen, Magis, Established & Sons, Bisazza, B.D. Barcelona, Se London, Bernhardt Design, and Ceccotti; accessories for Piper Heidsieck, Gaia and Gino, and The Rug Company; and lighting fixtures for Parachilna.

These collections have put Jaime at the forefront of a new wave of creators - one that blurs the lines between art, decoration, and design. He has also designed a number of stunning shops and salons for companies across the world, from New Delhi to Geneva, from Kuwait to Paris.
Jaime's work has been exhibited in prestigious museums worldwide. He has won several top design honours, including 'Best Installation' by Icon Magazine, 'Top 100 List' and 'Breakthrough Creator' by Wallpaper Magazine, and the Elle Deco International Award 2006 and 2012.
With offices in Italy, Spain, and Japan, Jaime's main interest is "to find challenges and new perspectives continuously."
